As we expand our footprint into the North American geotechnical market, we are seeking a driven, knowledgeable, and skilled individual as Sales Lead, Americas to join our dynamic global Client Engagement team.
The Sales Lead will drive GeoDin commercial growth in the Americas region through client engagement, industry outreach and direct sales. This role requires a proactive individual who excels in a dynamic environment. They will execute sales strategies, maintain client relationships, and contribute to our sales goals. They will be the face of GeoDin in the region, responsible for not only driving sales but also for being the product expert that clients can rely on for solutions and support.
Fugro will not pay work authorization or sponsorship. Fugro will not provide or pay for relocation; this job opportunity can function fully remote.
Job Responsibilities
Sales Leadership –
- Act as the primary sales lead for GeoDin in (North) America, directly reporting to the global commercial team in Europe.
- Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities, expanding our clientele and market presence.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, including negotiation and contract signing.
- Setup trials with potential clients and assist in the onboarding of new clients, ensuring a seamless transition and a positive start to their GeoDin journey.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, results, and forecasts, reporting regularly to the management team and ensuring the CRM is always up to date.
Product Visibility –
- Make GeoDin visible, understood and appreciated by the geotechnical community, primarily in US & Canada.
- Collaborate with marketing to leverage digital tools and campaigns for enhanced lead generation and brand visibility.
- Perform engaging and informative product demonstrations tailored to the specific needs of each client.
- Attend commercial events, representing GeoDin and networking with potential clients to generate leads and sales opportunities.
Voice of Regional Needs –
- Identify structural improvements, development areas and features for GeoDin based on regional client feedback and market developments and distil these for the global team to ensure GeoDin fulfils and exceeds regional market needs.
- Provide feedback from client interactions to guide continuous product and process improvement.
Job Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.
- Possess a valid passport or the ability to obtain for international travel requirements.
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Geology is required.
- Must have 5 years or more sales experience, particularly in a similar industry or region.
- Have 5 years or more experience in sales, ideally within the geotechnical or related technical software market.
- Willingness to travel within the region for client visits, product demonstrations, and commercial events. Attend global team gatherings, when needed, in Europe. Travel up to 10% for this role is required.
- Must have 5 years or more experience in sales, particularly in a similar industry or region.
- Demonstrated passion for digital solutions and technology trends, with a keen aptitude for leveraging digital tools and platforms to drive business outcomes and enhance customer experience.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand complex software solutions.
- Motivated and driven to deliver commercial results.
- Proficient in CRM software, preferably HubSpot.
