JOB SUMMARY
ONEOK is seeking a Data and Reporting Specialist to enhance the analytical capabilities of our real estate services and construction teams. This role involves utilizing business intelligence platforms such as PowerBI and Spotfire to provide critical insights.Job Profile Summary
Manage and lead strategic initiatives as a subject matter expert to drive value by establishing, reviewing and improving data governance, processes and business solutions. Work closely with management, other departments, or segments to streamline data efficiencies and drive direction for data and reporting solutions for internal customers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Collaborate with impacted stakeholders on priorities to ensure the highest value opportunities are prioritized and communicated.
Manage assigned projects to identify and implement data solutions, plans, reports and documents.
Use subject matter expertise to support leadership in the review of solutions, reports and documents developed by team to ensure accuracy and consistent quality delivery on objectives.
Maintain ownership and oversight of data and reporting consistency and accuracy for reliable and repeatable analytics.
Collaborate with stakeholders and Information Technology (IT) to explore, identify and incorporate new data sources to prioritize the highest value opportunities.
Identify business problems or management objectives that can be addressed through data analysis and provide guidance for process improvements and data quality enhancements.
Develop and lead training initiatives that support the use of data governance applications, data visualization technologies, and other data and reporting tools.
Execute the implementation of policies, guidelines and standards impacting data governance efforts as determined by leadership, including but not limited to:
Regularly monitoring access to data and reports.
Ensuring data is appropriately classified and managed.
Confirming data and reports meet appropriate requirements.
Lead and collaborate on special projects as assigned.
Lead the implementation of data initiatives and ensure awareness, alignment and acceptance.
Use strategic analysis of emerging data and analytics trends and technologies, while maintaining a decision support framework, to determine appropriate tools for sharing, processing, recording and reporting data and information.
Lead the development of data governance guidelines and best practices to ensure data initiatives are adopted by the organization.
Ensure business requirements, project objectives and change management controls are established, communicated and tracked where necessary.
Work closely with senior management, peers and IT to identify and propose changes to applications, processes and rules impacting data and reporting.
Audit, test and enhance existing reports and processes to increase optimization and performance.
Refine processes and standards to maximize efficiency and data integrity.
Provide informal guidance and mentoring to Data and Reporting Specialists.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or other related field with specific job-related experience as follows:
Work Experience
Experience researching, compositing, reconciling, analyzing and preparing reports, studies, recommendations and correspondence.
Experience in business or process analysis, project management and change management techniques including identification of potential process solutions.
Experience with the midstream energy industry pertaining to data management and analytics.
Experience defining and implementing project requirements, testing, training and issuing resolutions to ensure successful delivery.
Experience reading and interpreting reports, production statistics, cost analyses, contracts, statements, ledgers, manuals, legal documents and governmental regulations and guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of: combined efforts across companywide functions.
Knowledge of: relational database design including table structures, indexes and primary/foreign key fields.
Knowledge of: database modeling and forecasting tools.
Knowledge of: SQL, R, Python or similar languages.
