A day in the life.

As the Data Lead, you will be at the forefront of our data strategy, responsible for overseeing the collection, management, and analysis of data across MMA. In this role, you will establish best practices for data governance and ensure that our data initiatives align with business objectives, driving insights and informed decision-making throughout the organization.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT and operations, to identify data needs and translate them into actionable strategies. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding your team through the entire data lifecycle, from data acquisition and cleaning to analysis and reporting.

In addition to mentoring and empowering your team, you will foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. Staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, you will evaluate new tools and methodologies to enhance our data capabilities and drive operational efficiency.

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading data management and analytics teams, with a focus on delivering high-quality insights and solutions that drive business impact.

  • Enterprise Data Understanding: High-level understanding of enterprise data needs, along with a general knowledge of data architecture to facilitate collaboration with IT.

  • Data Governance Expertise: Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and best practices in data management to ensure compliance and data integrity.

  • Analytical Tools Proficiency: Experience with data analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R), as well as familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to effectively communicate insights.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating complex data concepts and analytical findings in a clear and actionable manner.

  • Modern Data Technologies: Proficiency in modern data storage technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) to leverage scalable data solutions.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of identifying and resolving complex data challenges to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Data Standards and Security: Experience in establishing and enforcing data standards, security protocols, and performance benchmarks to protect organizational data assets.

  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: A commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making within the organization, encouraging team members to innovate and refine processes.

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • 15+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or a related field, with a focus on leadership roles.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $119,500 to $209,200.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
