We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager who will be responsible for leading the overall procurement activities associated with The Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Team that provides dedicated support managing procurements of multiple technologies for development programs. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic growth-oriented environment that supports a broad portfolio of programs and reports to the Sr. Procurement Manager.

What You Will Do:

Perform subcontract management of purchase orders utilizing integrated supply chain models. Primary capabilities in subcontract management such as the following will be needed:

Preparation of all manner of solicitations including RFQ, RFP, and RFI

Analyze quotations/proposals utilizing price/cost analysis techniques

Develop negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, Terms)

Place Purchase Orders of high dollar levels and procurement complexity

Perform risk analysis, and develop mitigation plans and solutions to problems

Travel to RTX and supplier facilities as deemed necessary - typical travel may be quarterly or more

Manages escalations and resolution of internal customer and/or supplier issues

Manage financial goals in relation to our subcontract deliveries

Drive the success of meeting business factory MRP

Drive the success for metrics, Late to Place, Late to Dock, Delinquent Material, etc.

Develop plans to promote cost reduction initiatives and performance improvements (technical as well as quality)

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain management or similar role

Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) or within other heavily regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, medical, space, aviation, power generation or automotive

Experience in written contractual authorization/vehicles (Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, etc.)

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Finance or STEM field

Experience in the Aerospace industry

Ability to analyze Cost and Pricing Data and determine proposal compliance

Ability to understand technical requirements of procured hardware and services including Statements of Work (SOW)

Ability to process information and manage multiple conflicting priorities to drive to successful outcome (i.e., multi-task)

Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one work area

Broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
