The Risk Review Group (Internal Audit) is the third line of defense. The Risk Review Group (RRG) is accountable to the KeyCorp Audit Committee and is responsible for providing an independent and objective perspective on KeyCorp's processes and risks through assessment and testing of the adequacy and effectiveness of Key's risk management policies and practices, while also ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations. This is accomplished through completion of an Annual Audit Plan, which includes both risk evaluations and risk reviews (internal audits).
The Senior Audit Manager of Methodology will be responsible for leading and overseeing various initiatives including Quality Assurance (QA) testing, maintenance and updates to RRG Standards and related training and Audit Committee presentation preparation. This role will oversee a dedicated Quality Team and be responsible for review of the QA program including taking themes from issues and incorporating them into training/methodology updates. The Senior Audit Manager of Methodology performs ongoing maintenance of and enhancements to RRG Standards, Practice Guides, and Templates, provides communication and training related to methodology changes, and provides counsel and support for RRG teams with methodology and procedural questions and concerns to help ensure that RRG continuously complies with Institute of Internal Audit standards and Regulatory expectations. This team member will coordinate with PPAS and RRG teams to ensure technology (GRC, BOTs, AI, DA, etc.) are effectively leveraged and aligned to methodology; proactively engage with RRG Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to identify, prioritize, and implement enhancements and innovations to RRG methodology; coordinate SLT involvement in strategic changes associated with methodology and practices; prepare Audit Committee materials related to methodology changes and required approvals; and coordinate with PPAS and RRG to ensure that methodology reflects Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) and strategic changes. Additionally, this role will Interact with regulators in quarterly updates and exam management, as needed.
The Professional Practices and Strategy (PPAS) team is responsible for establishing and maintaining the Standards for the Risk Review Group with alignment and adherence to the IIA, FRB, and OCC guidance. Additionally, PPAS manages and completes the Quality Assurance program for RRG. PPAS is responsible for the completeness and accuracy of materials presented to the Audit Committee on a bi-monthly basis, which can include plan status updates, talent management materials, findings analyses and updates on the continuous improvement efforts of RRG. Lastly, PPAS is responsible for executing strategic change initiatives identified by the Senior Leadership Team that would broadly impact the RRG.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Advanced understanding of audit concepts within planning, fieldwork and reporting, as well as workpaper documentation, audit findings, and audit reports.
Advanced business writing skills and cohesively present information effectively to others including the delivery of audit findings and other audit matters to executive management and external partners; Consistently presents and organizes more complex information and adapts message to audience.
Prioritize and execute multiple assignments; identify obstacles within the scope of assignments; proactively communicate delays in assigned deliverables or additional capacity availability; effectively delegate work when necessary; able to adapt to unforeseen challenges and reprioritization of assignments, including the ability to make difficult decisions in a timely manner while including all necessary stakeholders.
Advanced ability to lead or provide oversight on the most complex stand alone and integrated reviews, investigations or ad hoc projects.
Exhibit a foundational understanding of product skills and business, industry and regulatory concepts.
Advanced ability to review audit work to ensure compliance with internal standards while ensuring the work product meets the need of internal and external stakeholders.
Champions the use of new ideas, continuous improvement and implementation of strategies to drive team and/or division change; demonstrate advanced ability to draw insight from risk intelligence and regulatory bulletins.
Develop relationships with clients; thoughtfully engage in networking with those on your team, within the RRG and across Key, to build lasting relationships.
Demonstrate the ability to perform in an organizational culture of respect and personal accountability.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree – Preferred
Masters Degree – Preferred
Minimum of 9 years of audit or related experience
Relevant Certification - Required
RELEVANT CERTIFICATIONS
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
