Graham Healthcare Group is hiring for a Clinical EMR Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position will be support all Graham Healthcare Group (GHG) companies on the Homecare Homebase (HCHB) EMR and other clinical business applications, including Forcura, Worldview, various referral portals and emerging technologies . This position can be remote.
Clinical EMR Specialist Job Responsibilities:
The Clinical EMR Specialist uses IT application skills as internal consultant, change manager, vendor liaison, service desk specialist, and in other functional areas.
Serve as a subject matter expert on ways to optimize HCHB and other systems. This may include workflow, documentation, and other processes.
Implement changes and improvements within HCHB and other systems, including release management, changes to clinical forms, pathways, workflow, service codes, table set-up, integrations, etc.
Adhere to GHG change management policies and procedures for all HCHB changes.
Process HCHB/Pointcare incidents and service requests within the ITSM tool .
Escalate issues to HCHB and other vendors directly where applicable and monitor to resolution .
Collaborate and communicate with the GHG IT team on changes and initiatives that may impact ticket volume coming to the service desk .
Foster a positive and collaborative working relationship with all team members.
Support projects and initiatives that involve the implementation or expansion of other clinical applications
Provide training and education on the functionality of HCHB and other systems.
Participate in and support audit initiatives to remain in compliance with SOX, HIPAA, etc.
Clinical EMR Specialist Qualification Requirements:
Associate degree in business, IT, or clinical field. Bachelors preferred.
Three years of experience in the Home Health and/or Hospice industry
3 years of experience with the HCHB EMR system is required .
Working knowledge of Home Health and/or Hospice industry and regulations.
Strong critical thinking skills and judgment to understand the risks and downstream impact of system changes and processes.
Ability to manage projects and/or reliably complete tasks as assigned within reasonable timeframe.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
