Overview:  We are seeking an experienced Director, Product Management to lead our Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) product area.  This pivotal role involves overseeing the go to market and continuous improvement of our product offerings. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare markets, pharmacy billing processes, medical billing processes, and revenue cycle management.  Experience in both Specialty and Infusion pharmacy billing is preferred.

 

The individual will have the opportunity to provide contributing inputs into financial forecasts and results, the Incumbent will transform business and market strategies into solutions for problems that are urgent, pervasive and that the market will pay to solve.  Incumbent will own market research and infuse thought leadership across business units and cross-functional teams throughout product development, launch, and ongoing service provision.  In addition to the performance of such other services assigned or delegated by the Company, the Incumbent will communicate to key stakeholders, including the Executive Leadership Team, and will engage with customers and business partners to understand new market needs, as well as define roadmaps, product requirements, operational standards for execution and sales. The Incumbent will demonstrate technical expertise, as well as product management discipline, to bring cutting-edge solutions and assets to market, resulting in delighted customers and sustained growth. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • For commercially facing solutions/services, own design of a strategic, multi-year business plan and blueprint to meet the product goals around key metrics (e.g., revenue, EBIDTA)
  • Facilitate a regular review/update cadence (no less than quarterly) and help ensure revenue attainment;
  • Conducts research to evaluate market landscape, technologies, industry, and competitive trends;
  • Engage with customers, users, internal stakeholders, and business partners to drive requirements and roadmap and product vision, while understanding the Company’s distinctive competencies;
  • Own functional requirements, User Journeys, workflows and use case scenarios, prioritization of requirements, tradeoffs based on partnering with Engineering.
  • Provide market-driven requirements to engineering for a long-term scalable architecture.
  • Work closely with UX experience designers to develop software and data solutions that will delight users
  • Own completeness and review of all scoped requirements at the release and product portfolio level and maintenance of all requirements in Agile-development tools such as vsts, jira, confluence or similar.
  • Maintain a published roadmap outlining ideas, value, and timing of those to market, as well as the fit within the product portfolio;
  • Design and/or partner on solutions and services – driving early-stage technologies, supporting design-led research, reviewing prototype development, and finalizing fit into the product portfolio.
  • Contribute to identification and evaluation of potential third-party partnerships on an ongoing basis;
  • Own pricing and distribution strategy and definition;
  • Support definition of contract terms and templates and ensure solution/service compliance, including data policies, during definition and early-stage phases;
  • Support Solutions Marketing relative to positioning, messaging, and launch of solutions/services;
  • Support Operations and Customer Support relative to execution;
  • Support Sales and Customer Success, on opportunity development and closure – when complexity and need for subject matter expertise are present; and
  • Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement, including HIPAA and other confidentiality requirements;
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with demonstrable accomplishments in technical product management in software and development of novel software products in healthcare markets, pharmacy and medical billing processes and RCM.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading product management business strategy, financial/business modeling and analysis, business plan development, market/industry research, and competitive analysis
  • Visionary leader, ability to manage a “whole product” and lead virtual teams
  • Experience writing specs, creating a roadmap, driving engineering
  • Cloud-based product acumen
  • Experience working with healthcare data & defining novel healthcare workflows
  • ‘Get things done attitude’ along with great organizational skills
  • Proven track record in building new software products and introducing them to market;
  • Mastery of Agile process, Jira or vsts, confluence or similar tools

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required; and
  • Master’s degree in related fields is highly desired.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time);
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
  • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions; and
  • Travel for this position may be seasonal for specific product lines which may lead to concentrations of travel during specific periods of the year, but generally should not exceed 25% on an annual basis.

In addition to the base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.  At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Base Compensation Range
$149,100$170,000 USD
