We are looking for a Senior Competitive Intelligence Manager to join our Product Marketing team. In this role, you will own our competitive intelligence function, transforming market and competitor insights into strategic action across the company. Your work will help ensure our public safety partners are equipped with the most effective tools by positioning Mark43 as the clear choice in a rapidly evolving market. You will serve as a key partner to Product, Sales, Marketing, and Executive teams—arming them with the knowledge and tools to anticipate trends, outperform competitors, and deliver solutions that improve community safety.
What You’ll Do
If you were part of our team, here are some things you would have done last week:
Delivered a flash report to executives on a key competitor’s product launch, outlining implications for our roadmap and positioning
Enabled Sales with updated battlecards and led a virtual enablement session focused on countering competitor objections in state and local RFPs
Researched a competitive product by combing though the competitor's website, youtube videos, blog posts, customer conversations, your tradeshow notes, and by researching their publicly-available contracts.
Collaborated with Product Management to advocate for prioritizing a feature opportunity exposed through competitor weakness
Synthesized win/loss data from recent deals to inform go-to-market strategies and highlight differentiation levers
Provided Marketing with intel on a competitor campaign, enabling us to refine messaging for an upcoming product launch
Shared intel with the Sales team about specific accounts based on public contract discovery, including renewal date and current products in the agency.
Updated the central intelligence repository, ensuring the latest insights were available to teams across the organization
What You’ll Need
We’re looking for a Senior Competitive Intelligence Manager with 8–10 years of experience in competitive intelligence, product marketing, or strategic analysis—ideally within a SaaS or business-to-government (B2G) context. You should have a proven ability to build and execute a competitive program from the ground up, including gathering intelligence through a variety of sources, translating findings into actionable strategies, and influencing decisions at all levels.
The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You have outstanding communication skills and can distill complex findings into clear, compelling stories. You’re naturally curious – you love learning everything about our industry and competitors – and you’re not afraid to share your point of view. You can work independently to drive projects forward, but you also collaborate well with diverse stakeholders.
People who thrive on our team also tend to share the following characteristics:
Strategic Thinker: You connect market insights to business opportunities and threats.
Effective Communicator: You know how to tell compelling, evidence-based stories that influence stakeholders.
Self-Starter: You’re self-sufficient and proactive in building programs from the ground up.
Collaborative Partner: You work seamlessly across teams and functions.
Our team is distributed across the U.S. This role is open to remote candidates based in the U.S., with the option to work hybrid from our NYC office if preferred.
