Job description

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team and work on Workia.com, driving innovation, enhancing infrastructure, and streamlining software development lifecycles. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, and some familiarity with Microsoft common tech stacks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, ensure system reliability, and deliver high-quality software products.

  **Preference in Lisbon area for location.

Requirements

WHAT YOU DO:

CI/CD Development:

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines tailored to the company’s software products.
  • Automate build, test, and deployment processes to enhance efficiency.

Infrastructure Management:

  • Build and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using Azure Cloud Services.
  • Evaluate and integrate new Azure services or other cloud technologies to optimize performance.

Collaboration & Support:

  • Partner with development teams to streamline workflows and ensure seamless integration of infrastructure and code.
  • Provide technical guidance on infrastructure architecture and best practices.

System Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

  • Monitor and troubleshoot production environments hosted on cloud services.
  • Ensure high availability, security, and performance of cloud-based systems.

Development & Automation:

  • Write and maintain scripts using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Collaborate on projects requiring light .NET knowledge to enhance tools and integrations.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and implement new tools or processes to improve development and deployments of lifecycles.
  • Stay abreast of new Azure services and other cloud technologies, evaluating their potential benefits for the company.
WHAT YOU BRING:
  • Proven experience (2-3 years) as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in a software development environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services, including setting up and managing Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive and self-motivated approach to continuous learning and process improvement.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Git.
  • Experience with Linux OS.
  • Familiarity with .NET / C# and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience, or at least familiarity, with IaC Tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
