Job description

Position: Bookkeeper

Number of hours: 20 hours/week

Schedule: PST


Tasks:

  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process

  • Conduct banking activities and assist with payroll processing

  • Assist with invoicing and handling accounts receivables

  • Perform all activities related to the accounts receivable and accounts payable function

  • Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on a needed basis and provide reports to the client

  • Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements ensuring their accuracy

  • Perform financial analysis and planning

  • Recommend changes to improve financial performance

  • Maintain the client’s database and make sure everything is up to date

  • Organize the documents, files and images correctly

  • Other ad hoc tasks that would be assigned


Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or any relevant role is required

  • Working experience in using Quickbooks accounting software is a must

  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel is required

  • Understanding of accounting best practices is necessary

  • Experience with the financial calculations involved in importing goods is preferred

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

  • Knows how to craft responses and do meaningful conversations

  • Familiarity with current technologies, like desktop sharing, cloud services and VoIP (GSuite, Zoom, Slack, Trello, etc.)

  • Good English communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Highly organized, and able to efficiently prioritize multiple tasks
