The VP of Operations is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing employees, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and driving product management initiatives. Key Responsibilities
Managing Employees & Organizational Leadership
Lead and support a team of 35 employees, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Oversee hiring, training, and professional development to maintain a skilled workforce.
Foster a collaborative and efficient work culture, ensuring clear communication across departments.
Implement performance metrics and feedback systems to enhance productivity.
Work closely with department heads to optimize workflows and resolve operational challenges.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams.
Product Development & Execution
Oversee the development and deployment of medical software solutions, ensuring high quality and usability.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to align development with market needs.
Ensure the timely release of software updates, bug fixes, and new features.
Implement the EPOWERdoc version of agile methodologies to improve efficiency and responsiveness in product development.
Work with customer support teams to integrate user feedback into product improvements.
Monitor product performance, user feedback, and industry trends to drive improvements.
Collaborate with sales and customer support teams to ensure seamless product adoption.
Compliance & Regulatory Management
Ensure adherence to HIPAA, CURES, State and Federal software regulations, and other healthcare compliance standards.
Maintain documentation and audit readiness for regulatory bodies.
Work with IT to oversee data security measures, ensuring patient information is protected.
Train employees on compliance requirements and best practices.
Monitor industry changes and adjust company policies accordingly.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Nursing, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in healthcare or medical software.
Strong understanding of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, CURES, etc.).
Experience managing small teams and scaling operations in a growing business.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence.
Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
