Position Title: Construction Estimator
Work Set-up: Work From Home
Schedule: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Salary: Php 55,000 – Php 75,000

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR

Your Responsibilities as a Construction Estimator would be:
• Takeoffs & Estimating:
o Perform architectural, structural, and MEP takeoffs for residential and commercial projects.
o Accurately quantify materials, labor, and scope items based on bid sets and construction documents.
o Compile and organize data from bid requests into standardized estimating formats.
• Material & Vendor Coordination:
o Communicate with existing and new vendors to obtain current pricing for all materials and services.
o Track material lead times, availability, and substitutions when needed.
o Maintain and update vendor contact logs and pricing databases.
• Cost Analysis & Reporting:
o Create projected cost breakdowns for each project, including labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses.
o Generate profit/loss reports and budget forecasting.
o Identify cost savings opportunities and suggest value engineering options.
• Software & Tools Management:
o Utilize company-provided software for takeoffs and estimating (e.g., Planswift, Bluebeam, CoConstruct, Buildertrend, Procore, or equivalent).
o Use personal tools or software as necessary to enhance productivity and accuracy.
o Organize and store all work output in company-approved cloud systems.
• Communication & Administration:
o Work closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors.
o Ensure deadlines are met and information is submitted in a timely, professional manner.
o Attend virtual meetings to discuss ongoing projects and priorities.


Qualifications as a Construction Estimator:
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in construction estimating, takeoffs, or architectural support roles.
• Proficiency with digital takeoff software (e.g., Planswift, Bluebeam Revu, On-Screen Takeoff).
• Familiarity with construction budgeting, bid compilation, and project financial forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-motivated and capable of managing time and tasks independently in a remote setting.
• Experience with U.S.-based construction projects and materials.
• Familiarity with estimating and construction management platforms such as Buildertrend, CoConstruct, or Procore.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Experience working with subcontractors and material vendors.
