Job description

What you can expect

The Network Security Analyst is responsible for protecting the organization’s network infrastructure. This role will have a primary focus on Palo Alto firewall administration, network detection and response (NDR) solutions and comprehensive security reviews of network configurations and architectures. This role ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of networked systems by proactively identifying vulnerabilities, responding to threats, and maintaining industry-leading security standards.

About the Team

The IT & Infrastructure Security team at Zoom is responsible for producing short and long-term security strategies for our Corporate and Commercial environments.

Responsibilities

  • Administering, configuring, and maintaining Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including the development and enforcement of security policies and access controls.

  • Monitoring and assisting investigation of network threats using network detection and response (NDR) solutions, conducting investigations and supporting incident response activities.

  • Reviewing and auditing network security configurations and architectures—both on-premises and in AWS—to ensure compliance with best practices, internal policies, and regulatory standards.

  • Managing AWS network security, including the configuration of VPCs, subnets, security groups, network ACLs, and AWS-native firewalls. Also monitoring network activity with tools like VPC Flow Logs and GuardDuty.

  • Collaborating with IT and network teams to integrate and optimize security solutions across the organization’s hybrid infrastructure. Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to continuously enhance network security posture.

What we’re looking for

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Have 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Palo Alto Networks firewalls in enterprise environments.

  • Have experience with network detection and response platforms, SIEM, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

  • Have a solid knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and VPN technologies.

  • Have familiarity with secure network architecture principles and best practices.

  • Have relevant certifications: Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CCNA/CCNP are ideal.

  • Have additional experience in these areas would be ideal: security platforms experience (e.g., Zscaler). Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS). Scripting or automation experience for network and security tasks.
