Market Development Representative (Timberland PRO)
How You Will Make a Difference
What you will do:
The Market Development Representative (MDR) is responsible for representing Timberland PRO with key account retailers and other prospective customers while developing long term business relationships. This position works in tandem with the Senior Account Executive to identify opportunities to place Timberland PRO footwear, grow assortment and make sure PRO shows up properly visualized in all points of distribution. The MDR will also have new product template duties and will work with boot mobiles regularly. This person creates a service distinction with these key retail partners through detailed account visit planning and a thorough understanding of our customer’s business. They will develop a thorough understanding of the marketplace (competitor information, consumer understanding, current/future market opportunities, etc.) The MDR also ensures proper visual standards are being adhered to by our customers, works proactively and collaboratively with the Account Executive to properly leverage marketing programs, and support and leverage Timberland’s commerce and justice platform. This role reports into the Sales Manager, PPE at Timberland. While this is a remote role, this person will ideally be based in the Chicago, IL metro or anywhere in the midwest, with easy accessibility to an airport.

Years of Related Professional Experience: 1+ years of selling experience, retail/outside/telephone. Working knowledge of work category, footwear, or apparel a plus. A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

Hiring Range:
$52,000.00 USD - $65,000.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
