The candidate should be based in the Midwest region, with remote work options and frequent travel within the territory.


Job Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the Midwest territory (OH, MI, IL, WI, IN, MN, IA, NE, KS, MO, OK, KY) developing and executing a strategic plan to maximize sales opportunities and achieve revenue targets.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with RIAs, financial advisors, consultants, and other decision-makers in the territory through proactive outreach and networking efforts.
  • Educate the market on Prospect’s alternative investment strategies, highlighting their benefits and suitability for RIAs' portfolios through presentations, seminars, webinars, and one-on-one meetings.
  • Understand the unique needs and objectives of RIAs within the territory, providing tailored investment solutions and strategic guidance to address their specific challenges and goals.
  • Manage the sales pipeline effectively, from prospecting and lead generation to deal closure, ensuring timely follow-up and engagement with potential clients.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting RIAs and alternative investments, providing insights to internal stakeholders to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including product management, portfolio management, and marketing, to align sales efforts with overall business objectives and support the successful launch of new products or initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and market feedback using Salesforce and other CRM systems, providing regular reports and updates to management on territory performance and opportunities.


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Series 7 and 63 required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services sales, with a focus on alternative investments and RIAs.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth within assigned territories.
  • Deep understanding of the RIA marketplace, including regulatory requirements, investment trends and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities, with a customer-centric mindset and a consultative sales approach.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office suite.


The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000 plus an annual discretionary performance-based bonus. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and performance.
