Software Engineer – Meduit – Charlotte, NC.

Job Duties: Responsible for creating software designs from existing software requirements and implementing new features from new and existing designs, as well as supporting existing software and providing guidance and support to other developers. Code software solutions that conform to designs. Modify and fix bugs in existing software. Document newly developed software and update existing documentation as needed. Participate in the software quality assurance process, including code review and testing/QA. Analyze data as part of troubleshooting and supporting existing software. Perform changes to configurations in the application platform. Provide escalated support for existing applications. Participate in the establishment and enforcement of best practices and standards. Reach deadlines for deliverables to operations leaders. Meet expectations for accuracy and relevancy. Produce results which help the organization grow further and increase profitability.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science or a related technical field, plus 4 years of experience as a Software Developer or a related occupation. Must have experience in: analytics; troubleshooting; SDLC best practices and project methodologies; writing secure web service endpoints and web pages; relational databases, specifically MySQL (or MariaDB); core Java and JSP; SQL; writing complex/advanced queries; Javascript and Ajax/jQuery; software design principles and best practices; HTML and CSS; configuring and managing Apache Tomcat; deploying web applications (war); OWASP secure programming best practices; reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; writing reports and business correspondence; advanced quantitative skills; solving practical problems; dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; database software; internet software; spreadsheet software; and word processing software. 100% telecommuting role – may work from anywhere inside the United States; reports to company headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
