The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As the Americas Non-Manufacturing EHS Leader, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Supporting the development and implementing Global EHS policies, standards, and programs across non-manufacturing sites in the Americas.
Establishing and maintaining regional EHS governance through committees and ensuring EHS resources are available in each country.
Assisting site and country leaders with managing injury prevention efforts and addressing regulatory and corporate EHS issues.
Guiding the implementation of Solventum’s EHS Management System and aligning with global policies and standards.
Leading compliance efforts with regulatory and internal EHS requirements across the region.
Conducting and supporting investigations of SIFs, potential SIFs, and other incidents, and preparing learning materials for knowledge sharing.
Analyzing incident data to identify trends and recommending improvement actions.
Monitoring regulatory changes and providing compliance guidance to regional EHS contacts.
Visiting sites to assess EHS program implementation and offering support to local EHS contacts.
Developing and delivering EHS training for non-manufacturing personnel.
Assisting sites with completing self-assessments and creating annual improvement plans.
Leading and participating in global EHS audits.
Coordinating regional EHS contractors to meet country-specific needs and ensuring local support.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) AND seven (7) years of experience in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Safety Sciences, and/or Engineering in a private, public, government or military environment
AND
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
Experience with U.S. and Canada Environmental, Health & Safety laws and regulations
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Experience working in Multi-site EHS support role
Distributed EHS workforce experience
Experience with Latin America Environmental, Health & Safety laws and regulations
Experience with implementing injury prevention initiatives EHS Management Systems, e.g., ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 and EHS compliance programs.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful EHS programs.
Interpersonal, leadership and team management skills.
Self-starter with excellent communication abilities.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels.
Exemplary customer service skills and attention to detail.
