The SEO Specialist will have the opportunity to work remotely from within the United States.

The SEO Specialist will support the execution of Cherry Bekaert’s SEO strategy by optimizing website content, conducting keyword and competitive research, improving technical SEO performance, and managing local SEO initiatives. As a SEO Specialist, you will: 

  • Support the SEO Manager in developing and refining SEO strategies to improve organic visibility, rankings, and lead generation
  • Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis using SEMrush, Conductor, and Google tools to identify high-impact opportunities
  • Monitor keyword performance across different journey stages and recommend updates based on volume, competitiveness, and user intent
  • Stay informed about industry trends, search engine algorithm updates, AI influences and emerging SEO technologies to help guide strategic direction to innovate our SEO efforts
  • Optimize on-page elements including meta titles, descriptions, header tags, image optimization, URL structure and internal linking
  • Collaborate with the Go-to-Market and Content teams to ensure SEO best practices are followed during content creation and updates
  • Assist with technical SEO audits using tools like Screaming Frog, SEMrush Site Audit, and Google Search Console to identify and resolve technical issues (e.g., crawl errors, redirects, broken links)
  • Work with Web Developer to implement SEO improvements (e.g., site structure, speed)
  • Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles and location-based listings to boost visibility in local search results
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for acquiring high-quality backlinks
  • Assist with tracking and analyzing SEO performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, Looker Studio, and SEMrush
  • Assist with monthly and ad hoc SEO reporting
  • Work closely with the SEO Manager, content creators, web developers, and marketing stakeholders to align SEO efforts with broader digital strategies
  • Communicate complex SEO recommendations clearly and constructively to both technical and non-technical team members

What you bring to the role: 

  • 2–3+ years of hands-on SEO experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals: on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices
  • Proficiency with tools including Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Conductor, and Screaming Frog
  • Experience with CMS platforms (Optimizely is a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A strong desire to continuously learn and innovate within the SEO space
  • Experience working with B2B or professional services websites
  • Understanding of UX principles as they relate to SEO

The salary range for this position is included below. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location. Pay Range:

$48,450 to $75,000
