Global travel firm based in Toronto, ON has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Travel Counselor *REMOTE*

*3-6 month contract with potential for conversion to permanent*
*Remote*
Shift: Evening shift (for ex. Tuesday to Thursday from 3 pm-11 pm or Sunday to Thursday from 3 pm-11 pm)


Job Description
This role is based in the Travel, Lifestyle Services department. They will be answering calls from platinum and gold card holders. Customers will call in with travel, dining & entertainment needs. These contractors will need to book travel, dining reservations/recommendations, and other lifestyle, entertainment reservations. They will be answering approximately 10 calls per hour and heavy computer usage utilizing several systems (main system is Savre). They will report to a Team Lead (there will be several Team Leads for this amount of contractors). This department has around 100 team members, mostly Traveling Counselors.

Requirements:

  • Requires Tico certification before start (basic certification). Candidate must cover the cost of exam (will be reimbursed if converted to permanent)
  • At least 1 year experience working in a call center environment, travel industry, hospitality or customer experience. Call center experience would be preferred
  • Strong coaching and communication skills
  • Experience working remote/virtual – being able to solve basic PC troubleshooting and Wifi connection issues
  • Bilingual – French/English would be ideal but not required, Spanish is also an asset
  • No education is needed
*****Schedule:
This team runs 24 hours, 7 days a week. Counselors will be scheduled 5 days a week, with 2 consecutive days off (example – Tuesday – Saturday and Sunday and Monday off). They will stay on assigned schedule for duration of assignment (slight possibility might be some changes but highly unlikely). They will work 7.25 hours a day, 36.25 hours per week.
