Job description

Role: Workday Extend Developer
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: Through December 31, 2025 with possibility of extension
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Work Timezone: Standard IST business hours, with some overlap with EST
Location: 100% Remote (Candidates can work anywhere from India)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Workday Extend Developer to design, build, and maintain custom applications and integrations within the Workday platform. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to develop scalable solutions that enhance the Workday environment and integrate seamlessly with existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Development:
Build, modify, and support applications using Workday Extend tools such as Workday Studio, Orchestrations, and APIs.
System Integration:
Design and implement integrations with external systems using EIBs, PMD Scripting, XSLT, and web services (REST/SOAP).
Support and Troubleshooting:
Provide technical support, resolve issues, and ensure application performance and stability.
Documentation & Training:
Create and maintain detailed documentation (design, testing, deployment), and train internal teams on developed solutions.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Partner with business teams to gather requirements, communicate project status, and ensure alignment on deliverables.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement improvements to Workday Extend processes, tools, and capabilities.
Solution Design:
Lead discovery and design workshops and architect scalable solutions for complex business requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

Proficiency with Workday Extend, including Business Objects, Business Processes, Orchestrations, Reports, and Security.
Strong hands-on experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, web services (REST, SOAP), JSON, XML, and XSLT.
Experience with PMD Scripting and data transformation techniques.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve integration and application issues efficiently.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
