Job Title: Solution Architect

Job Location: Herndon, VA or Remote
Duration: Contracted to Full Time

Job Description:

· A "sure can!" attitude

· Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline

· 5+ years of experience in a role that encompasses both data center infrastructure and systems engineering

· Ability to support data center discovery activities and translate those into migration plans

· Ability to decompose technical architectures into discrete engineering tasks and execute on those tasks

· Ability to develop and deploy Production-ready infrastructure solutions (preferably through Infrastructure as Code)

· Ability to write scripts in Bash, Python, PowerShell or similar

· A strong understanding of foundational cloud infrastructure building blocks (e.g.: VPN, Direct Connect, BGP/routing, DNS, IAM, CloudWatch, "cross account" capabilities)

· A strong level of comfort with both Windows and Linux operating systems, including related OS services

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Strong analytic, organization, presentation, customer service and facilitation skills

What would set you apart

· Hands-on deployment / administration experience with VMWare technologies and/or VMWare Cloud (VMC) on AWS

· Experience working with Microsoft Distributed File System (Client) technologies

· Basic knowledge of AWS Migration Hub and/or related cloud migration tools

· Basic knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Bash and AWS CloudFormation
