Job Description: BigR.io is seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer with extensive experience in NetApp storage systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing complex NetApp storage environments in enterprise-level organizations.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage complex NetApp storage environments.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability and performance of the storage infrastructure.
Develop and implement storage strategies and procedures to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Provide technical expertise in the development of solutions and proposals for customers.
Lead the resolution of complex storage issues, working with vendors and other technical teams as required.
Develop and maintain documentation of storage systems, configurations, and procedures.
Participate in capacity planning and performance analysis activities.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.
Provide training and mentoring to junior members of the team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex NetApp storage environments.
Strong knowledge of NetApp storage technologies including ONTAP, FAS, AFF, and Clustered Data ONTAP.
Experience with storage protocols including NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and FCP.
Strong understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
Experience with backup and recovery solutions, including NetBackup and Commvault.
Strong understanding of networking technologies and protocols.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
NetApp certification such as NCDA or NCIE is highly desirable.
Knowledge of cloud computing technologies, such as AWS and Azure
Familiarity with storage virtualization and data management
Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
