We are looking for a Database Administrator (MS SQL).

Your main tasks will be:

  • Create and maintain advanced T-SQL scripts on MS SQL 2008–2019, review SQL code, analyze execution plans (e.g., for stored procedures executed millions of times daily), and resolve performance bottlenecks.

  • Optimize database performance (queries, indexes, locks, disk usage, memory, etc.) using monitoring tools and address performance issues promptly, including remotely.

  • Maintain and support AlwaysOn availability groups.

  • Assist analysts and ML engineers in accessing and extracting data.

  • Optimize SQL Server administration: data integrity checks, backup/restore strategies, security audits, etc.

  • Operate and maintain high-load databases (tens of terabytes).

  • Monitor SQL Server performance and proactively prevent issues.

We expect from you:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server 2008–2019.

  • Deep understanding of Microsoft SQL Server internals and architecture.

  • Excellent knowledge of T-SQL and experience in developing scripts, stored procedures, user-defined functions, and triggers; strong grasp of distributed transactions and relational DBMS principles.

  • Proficiency in SQL query and procedure optimization.

  • Ability to understand and work with legacy SQL code.

  • Strong problem-solving skills in identifying logical errors in database structure and code.

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
