We are looking for a Database Administrator (MS SQL).
Your main tasks will be:
Create and maintain advanced T-SQL scripts on MS SQL 2008–2019, review SQL code, analyze execution plans (e.g., for stored procedures executed millions of times daily), and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Optimize database performance (queries, indexes, locks, disk usage, memory, etc.) using monitoring tools and address performance issues promptly, including remotely.
Maintain and support AlwaysOn availability groups.
Assist analysts and ML engineers in accessing and extracting data.
Optimize SQL Server administration: data integrity checks, backup/restore strategies, security audits, etc.
Operate and maintain high-load databases (tens of terabytes).
Monitor SQL Server performance and proactively prevent issues.
We expect from you:
3+ years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server 2008–2019.
Deep understanding of Microsoft SQL Server internals and architecture.
Excellent knowledge of T-SQL and experience in developing scripts, stored procedures, user-defined functions, and triggers; strong grasp of distributed transactions and relational DBMS principles.
Proficiency in SQL query and procedure optimization.
Ability to understand and work with legacy SQL code.
Strong problem-solving skills in identifying logical errors in database structure and code.
A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
