DUTIES:
- Responsible for leading the development, publication, implementation, and maintenance of software test plans and defect reporting to reduce production defects and promote the long-term stability and security of technology infrastructure using a combination of exploratory, regression and automated testing to ensure reliable data flow and integration.
- Interpret and transform data models, business use case diagrams, environment and data needs into testing deliverables.
- Collaborate with Information Technology peers, project stakeholders, and external vendors in requirements analysis and the development of effective test plans to minimize the progression of defects through all stages of the Plan's Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Ensure that all test plans with corresponding "lessons learned" are appropriately documented, tagged, and archived to promote reusability between initiatives.
- Analyze manual test cases and functional specifications to determine best approach for the development of automated testing and reporting.
- Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
- Recommend improvements of software applications to programmers, software developers, and engineers.
- Provide analysis of results back to technology teams.
- Develop process for Data Analysis and testing Data flow.
- Ensure that all test scripts and test data follow the Plan's Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and appropriate controls for production implementation.
- Utilize developed scripts and data in the execution of test plans.
- Develop automated test scripts, functionality and load that align with test plans utilizing various programming languages and automated testing environments.
- Maintain test environments to ensure readiness and availability for daily testing activities.
- Define and report monthly KPIs.
- Work with development and business analyst teams to assist in the documentation, reproduction, repair, testing, and verification of defects.
- Collaborate with other members of Quality team in performing trend analysis, test development, execution times, and defect tracking to optimize the QA process while minimizing production defects.
- Participate in developing, distributing, and coordinating in depth end-user reviews for modified and new software systems or applications.
- Test ETL processes as part of data validation and quality assurance testing of healthcare projects.
- Validate data flows from source(s) to target(s), including validating transformation rules or other business rules.
- Test Bl reports, structure and data.
- Identify, analyze, and document problems with functionality, output files or tables.
- Position reports to Centene headquarters at 7700 Forsyth Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63105 and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting permitted 100% of the time. No additional national or international travel is anticipated.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related, or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position, and 4 years of relevant work experience.
- In addition, experience with the following skills is required: (1) Working in the healthcare industry in the in Member, Provider and Claims domain and using the health care system/process Facets; (2) Conducting testing large, complex Data Warehouse/ ETL applications; (3) Conducting ETL development using, Informatica, SSIS or DataStage; (4) Conducting BI Reporting –using tools Cognos or Webfocus; (5) Working in relational databases including: Sybase, MS SQL Server, Oracle or Greenplum; and (6) Writing complex SQL scripts including complex select statements using multiple joins on a regular basis.

WORK HOURS: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week [8:00 am to 5:00 pm]
PAY RANGE: $118,465.43 to $158,100.00 per year
