The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with Adobe Commerce experience will be a vital member of the McFadyen Team. This role focuses on ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of high-volume Adobe Commerce environments. Working for large clients, the SRE will monitor systems, respond to production incidents, and proactively improve system health. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills in English, and availability for on-call support once a month.

This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to support business needs or perform system maintenance.

Responsibilities

Top 5 Responsibilities

1. Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of Adobe Commerce platforms.
2. Respond to and resolve critical incidents, participating in monthly on-call rotations.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement automation and monitoring solutions.
4. Analyze system reliability metrics and drive continuous improvement.
5. Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding incident status, resolutions, and root cause analyses.

Additional Responsibilities

• Manage production issues and escalations, coordinating with support and development teams.
• Contribute to incident reviews and documentation of best practices.
• Monitor and maintain infrastructure and application logs and metrics.
• Identify opportunities for performance optimization and automation.
• Participate in infrastructure and deployment planning to enhance system reliability.
• Maintain high standards of operational excellence and documentation.

Top 5 Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
2. Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps professional with Adobe Commerce.
3. Strong understanding of incident management and system reliability principles.
4. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
5. Demonstrated ability to work independently with a proactive mindset.

Other Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Datadog, Grafana).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, etc.).
• Adobe Commerce certifications are a plus.
