The Field Service Engineer (FSE) repairs, maintains, calibrates and cleans instruments for Radiometer Mexico (RMEX). The FSE troubleshoots and diagnoses product problems in a timely manner, continues positive customer relationships and develops partnerships with Sales to aid in uncovering additional selling opportunities.

The FSE is a representative of Radiometer and must convey a strong sense of expertise in Radiometer products, services and capabilities and serve as a key educator to our customer business accounts. A successful FSE has a strong IT toolbox with knowledge around networks, connectivity, cyber security and overall IT topology, as well as displaying a commercial mindset and is available for flexible working hours.

This position reports to the Field Service Leader and is part of the Service Department located in Mexico City and will be working remotely to cover Mexico and occasionally Latin America

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Technical Service & Maintenance: Install, repair, calibrate, clean, and test instruments; perform preventative maintenance by following logical troubleshooting procedures and diagnosing problems in a timely planner; maintain field parts inventory, testing devices and tools, and a clean, safe work environment at the customer site and in the company vehicle; comply with all regulatory and company required documentation, as well as company standards, policies, and guidelines.
• Customer Support & On-Call Coverage: Deliver exceptional customer service through training, follow-up visits, and consultation on analyzer, IT, IoT, and cybersecurity needs. Participate in scheduled on-call rotations, including documentation, attending on-site visits, including nights and weekends for VIP customers, and maintaining continuous communication with the Field Service Leader to ensure all service visits are attended accordingly and on time.
• Sales Collaboration & Regional Support: Act as a service consultant and support sales initiatives by identifying customer needs, promoting service offerings, and participating in sales presentations. Build strong partnerships with sales teams, contribute to customer satisfaction efforts, and provide cross-regional coverage as needed.

The essential requirements of the job include

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• University degree in Engineering or other technical careers, such as Biomedical, Electronics, and Mechanics
• One year of experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a related technical role, with demonstrated proficiency in HIS/LIS installation and troubleshooting, analyzer network connectivity setup, and direct support to LIS/HIS providers. Brings foundational knowledge of IoT, networking, IT, and cybersecurity, along with a strong commercial mindset—understanding customer needs, industry challenges, and the business drivers that impact profitability.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Up to 50% travel through Mexico and Latin America with visits to headquarters and other Radiometer subsidiaries.
• Must be able to have flexible working hours.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 20kg, with assistance from others.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• IT skills and knowledge in SQL database, Java, Mirth, and Windows Server
• Medical device field

El Ingeniero de Servicio en Campo (FSE) repara, mantiene, calibra y limpia instrumentos para Radiometer México (RMEX). El FSE diagnostica y soluciona problemas de productos de manera oportuna, mantiene relaciones positivas con los clientes y desarrolla alianzas con el equipo de ventas para ayudar a descubrir oportunidades adicionales de negocio.

El FSE es un representante de Radiometer y debe transmitir un fuerte sentido de experiencia en los productos, servicios y capacidades de Radiometer, además de actuar como un educador clave para las cuentas comerciales de nuestros clientes. Un FSE exitoso cuenta con una sólida caja de herramientas en TI, con conocimientos sobre redes, conectividad, ciberseguridad y topología de TI en general, además de mostrar una mentalidad comercial y disponibilidad para horarios de trabajo flexibles.

Este puesto reporta al Líder de Servicio en Campo y forma parte del Departamento de Servicio ubicado en Ciudad de México, trabajando de forma remota para cubrir México y, ocasionalmente, América Latina.

En este rol, tendrás la oportunidad de:

• Servicio Técnico y Mantenimiento: Instalar, reparar, calibrar, limpiar y probar instrumentos; realizar mantenimiento preventivo siguiendo procedimientos lógicos de diagnóstico y solución de problemas de manera oportuna; mantener el inventario de repuestos, dispositivos de prueba y herramientas, y un entorno de trabajo limpio y seguro en el sitio del cliente y en el vehículo de la empresa; cumplir con toda la documentación regulatoria y requerida por la empresa, así como con los estándares, políticas y directrices de la compañía.
• Soporte al Cliente y Cobertura de Guardia: Brindar un servicio al cliente excepcional mediante capacitación, visitas de seguimiento y consultas sobre necesidades de analizadores, TI, IoT y ciberseguridad. Participar en rotaciones de guardia programadas, incluyendo documentación, visitas en sitio (incluso noches y fines de semana para clientes VIP), y mantener comunicación continua con el Líder de Servicio en Campo para asegurar que todas las visitas de servicio se atiendan de manera adecuada y puntual.
• Colaboración con Ventas y Soporte Regional: Actuar como consultor de servicio y apoyar las iniciativas de ventas identificando necesidades del cliente, promoviendo ofertas de servicio y participando en presentaciones de ventas. Construir alianzas sólidas con los equipos de ventas, contribuir a los esfuerzos de satisfacción del cliente y brindar cobertura regional cruzada según sea necesario.

Los requisitos esenciales del puesto incluyen:

• Bilingüe en inglés y español
• Título universitario en Ingeniería u otras carreras técnicas, como Biomédica, Electrónica o Mecánica
• Un año de experiencia como Ingeniero de Servicio en Campo o en un rol técnico relacionado, con dominio demostrado en instalación y solución de problemas de HIS/LIS, configuración de conectividad de analizadores en red y soporte directo a proveedores de LIS/HIS. Posee conocimientos básicos de IoT, redes, TI y ciberseguridad, junto con una fuerte mentalidad comercial: comprende las necesidades del cliente, los desafíos de la industria y los factores comerciales que impactan la rentabilidad.

Requisitos de viaje, conducción y físicos/ambientales:

• Hasta un 50% de viajes por México y América Latina, incluyendo visitas a la sede y otras subsidiarias de Radiometer
• Debe tener disponibilidad para horarios de trabajo flexibles
• Licencia de conducir válida con historial aceptable
• Capacidad para levantar, mover o transportar equipos de hasta 20 kg, con ayuda de otros

Será una ventaja si también cuentas con experiencia previa en:

• Habilidades en TI y conocimientos en bases de datos SQL, Java, Mirth y Windows Server
• Campo de dispositivos médicos
