Associate Director, Channel Strategy and Patient Affordability

The Associate Director, Channel Strategy and Patient Affordability reports to the Executive Director, Channel Strategy and Patient Affordability.

The Associate Director, Channel Strategy and Patient Affordability will play a crucial role in bridging operational execution and strategic leadership within Otsuka. This position is responsible for ensuring seamless communication and alignment across teams while driving the successful implementation of patient access and affordability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying synergies and best practices between operational teams and leadership, facilitating clear communication of strategic priorities
  • Lead cross-functional coordination efforts to align Channel operations, Patient Affordability, Channel programs, reporting, etc.
  • Implementing program performance standards by which the team can evaluate success and recommend adjustments based on data-driven insights
  • Manage resources effectively across the team to ensure efficient budget utilization, while identifying cost saving opportunities
  • Design operational framework to avoid operational bottlenecks to maintain smooth program execution, bringing forth best practices and streamlining team efficiency
  • Represent the department in key meetings with internal stakeholders
  • Create/Present regular reports on program progress, challenges, and successes
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making
  • Support other day-to-day market access operations as needed

Qualifications/ Required

Knowledge/ Experience, Skills and Educational Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-7 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industries, ideally in payer or channel functions
  • Performance tracking and quarterly business review development experience
  • Experience working in matrix management structure with project management, coordination and people management in a team environment
  • Proven track record in program management and cross-functional team leadership
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision making
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, excel and .ppt

Minimum $164,530.00 - Maximum $245,985.00, plus incentive opportunity: The range shown represents a typical pay range or starting salary for candidates hired to perform the work. Other elements may be used to determine actual salary such as the candidate’s job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in role.
