National Project Logistics Intern - 12 Months

Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Houston (Woodlands) site is looking for a new National Project Logistics Intern to join our Project Logistics team for a comprehensive, 12 months internship.

Your Role

Ever wonder how technology, food, fashion and pharmaceuticals move around the world from A to Z? You will have a twelve month, comprehensive exposure to the supply chain industry at the global leader in ocean and air freight forwarding. Our exciting internship program features a rotation on our operational, customer excellence, and another more senior project logistics team, networking opportunities, executive guest speakers, and real-world exposure to industry technology and processes.

Your Responsibilities

• Integrate into a team on one of our major business units - Project Logistics - supporting our operations, customer excellence, and depending on interest/availability billing and sales teams
• Learn Kuehne + Nagel systems, terminology, and business solutions
• Participate in internship program activities, such as guest speakers, lunches and check-in meetings
• Keep track of individual learning progress utilizing program resources
• Develop a presentation at the conclusion of the program to demonstrate your learning experience
  
  

Your Skills And Experiences

• Currently an undergraduate student, ideally majoring in supply chain management or related major, graduating either Winter of 2024 or Spring of 2025
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Comfortable collaborating with other logistics colleague, including in-person, virtual meetings, and through phone calls
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Possesses a positive attitude with an interest in learning and growing
• This position is onsite at our Houston office (The Woodlands) Monday through Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm starting after Spring coursework ends for the duration of 12 months
