Job description

Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Dallas site is looking for a new Customs Entry Writer to join our Customs team this Summer!

Your Role

As our Summer Customs intern, you will learn directly from our Customs Brokerage Entry Writers about the documentation required by US Customs and Border Protection for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Integrate into a team on one of our major business units – Customs Brokerage
  • Learn Kuehne + Nagel systems, terminology, and business solutions
  • Participate in internship program activities, such as guest speakers, lunches and check-in meetings
  • Keep track of individual learning progress utilizing program resources
  • Develop a presentation at the conclusion of the program to demonstrate your learning experience

Your Skills And Experiences

  • Currently an undergraduate student, ideally majoring in supply chain or general business
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to be effective in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Possesses a positive attitude with an interest in learning and growing
