Responsibilities
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
Review and analyze insurance claims and medical records
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any issues or discrepancies
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of insurance information
Document & review consent forms/identifications
Assist front office /department as needed
Requirements
2+ years experience working in a medical office setting
2+ years working with: Medi-cal, Medicare, Optum, Wellcare, Prospect, Monarch, PIH, regal, St. Jude, and Upland plans.
Experience working in a multi-specialty office
Front office knowledge required: Checkin and Checkout
Bilingual English/Spanish required
Understanding of managed care and insurance plans
Skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in using office software and electronic medical records systems
