Job description

Location: US, Remote (East Coast Preferred)

Compensation: Transparency is paramount in our compensation structure. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, offering a base salary range of $115,000-$125,000, with an annual target bonus.

The Category Manager plays a vital role in helping the Partnerships team bring the best gifts to Snappy’s lineup while driving scale, revenue and margins for Snappy. This role sources and manages vendor partnerships to maintain a reliable and updated vendor base and negotiates pricing to generate strong margins.  They stay up to date on market trends and customer preferences to bring an assortment of collections that delight customers and drive GMV growth for Snappy.

 You Will: 

  • Develop and implement category strategies by leveraging retail experience, market trends, and data insights.
  • Analyze data to guide decisions on costs, product assortment, and partner representation.
  • Communicate with partners to optimize pricing, product mix, and overall relationships.
  • Prospect new brands and introduce them to Snappy’s platform and value proposition.
  • Execute pricing strategies to ensure and protect profitability.
  • Manage product and pricing approvals using the Mirakl platform.
  • Maintain accurate data in Salesforce and deliver regular pipeline reports.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to drive projects forward.
  • Source new products based on business needs and opportunities.

 

 

You have:

  • Experience in retail e-commerce; familiarity with drop-ship and marketplace models is a plus.
  • A strong ability to identify and build strategic retail partnerships that drive scale, revenue, and margin growth for Snappy.
  • Previous experience in account management.
  • Solid understanding of retail math and intermediate negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Tableau, or similar CRM, marketplace, and reporting platforms.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to build and maintain vendor relationships.
  • The ability to leverage data and reporting to guide decisions on collections and partner representation.
