Job description

Who we are

At Fortis Games we aspire to make great games that bring people together while redefining how game companies work. We believe in building a sense of belonging through our games, their communities, and how we operate and treat each other. Through our game communities, we will create powerful connections and lasting memories. We will foster a culture of diversity, equity and belonging where together our diverse skills, experiences and backgrounds impact the games we make.

We are an early but mighty organization with a leadership team of game industry veterans. There are many opportunities for you to have a big impact on the products we'll be making as well as the overall direction of the company. If you're passionate about tackling difficult problems with direct and thoughtful communication and team first mentality, we may be the right place for you.

About the Role

As a Project Manager on the Community Development team at Fortis, you’ll play a key role in launching and supporting the long-term growth of our upcoming game release. You’ll be embedded within a dedicated Community Pod, working closely with community leads, product managers, and game teams to align community initiatives with development milestones and live operations.

This role is focused on driving cross-functional collaboration, optimizing workflows, and keeping projects on track—from play comms and community strategies to player feedback loops. You’ll ensure clarity, accountability, and momentum across all initiatives by building scalable systems, flagging risks early, and driving efficient execution.

  • Collaborating cross-functionally to clarify project scopes, define deliverables, build timelines, and implement mitigation plans.

  • Managing workflows and systems (ClickUp, Notion) to ensure team visibility and accountability across all Pod projects.

  • Driving alignment across community, product, and game teams, serving as the connection between development and player-facing initiatives.

  • Identifying bottlenecks and streamlining processes to improve overall efficiency and team velocity.

  • Supporting the delivery of high-quality community projects that are timely, impactful, and player-first.

  • Maintaining clear and consistent communication with stakeholders and surfacing blockers proactively.

What You’ll Achieve
  • Enable a successful global launch and live operations plan by aligning community strategy with development milestones.

  • Improve efficiency across the team by building and maintaining workflows, timelines, and reporting tools that help everyone stay organized and focused.

  • Foster a strong culture of communication, transparency, and alignment across cross-functional teams.

  • Influence how Community Development Pods operate at Fortis by developing playbooks and scalable systems that others can adopt.

  • Help improve player experience by facilitating the flow of feedback from community to development.

What You’ll Need to be Successful
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to keep multiple stakeholders aligned.

  • Experience building and managing timelines, deliverables, and workflows in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with project management platforms such as ClickUp or Notion.

  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to adapt project strategies based on evolving needs.

  • A passion for community engagement, live games, and delivering excellent player experiences.

  • Experience in the gaming industry (preferred but not required).

  • Curiosity, growth mindset, and a desire to contribute to a player-first, collaborative team.
