Job description

Our client is looking for for a versatile, proactive Brand & Content Execution Assistant to support the implementation of brand strategies across various client projects. This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about storytelling, enjoys content creation, is comfortable with design tools, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days look the same.

You’ll work closely with their Brand Strategist to bring strategic ideas to life — from content creation and social media scheduling to blog writing, community engagement, and reporting.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Design

  • Design visual content using Canva or Adobe Suite for social media, presentations, blogs, and basic brand collateral.
  • Assist with the execution of storytelling content (e.g. carousels, quote cards,) based on provided brand strategy frameworks and content plans.
  • Support the production of internal training decks, social media visuals, and collateral based on brand guidelines.

Scheduling & Social Media Management

  • Schedule and publish social media content across platforms using tools like Buffer, Later, or Meta Business Suite.
  • Ensure posts go live on time and monitor basic engagement metrics.
  • Assist in uploading blogs and updating content on platforms like WordPress.

Community Management

  • Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, and brand mentions.
  • Engage with followers and communities in line with brand tone and voice.
  • Flag and escalate any reputational or engagement opportunities.

Blog Writing & Copy Support

  • Draft and edit SEO-friendly blog posts based on briefs or outlines provided.
  • Assist with light copywriting for newsletters, captions, website updates, and internal content.

Performance Reporting

  • Collect and organise data for monthly performance reports.
  • Use analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Insights, Instagram, LinkedIn) to track engagement, growth, and performance.
  • Support in refining content strategies based on what’s working.

Skills & Requirements:

  • 1–2 years of experience in content creation, social media management, or marketing support role.
  • Strong writing skills and attention to tone, grammar, and clarity.
  • Comfortable using Canva (or similar) and basic design principles.
  • Familiar with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok) and scheduling tools.
  • Bonus: Basic understanding of SEO and Google Analytics.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks across different projects.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and run with a task from idea to delivery.
  • Competent in Wix.com and Wordpress.
  • Role is remote but applicants must be South Africa based.
  • Candidate must have some experience in and passion for design.
  • This is an entry level, assistant based role.
  • Candidate must be set up well to work from home. Must have own laptop and reliable internet connection.
  • The role could potentially also be structured into a part time role.
  • Must be a design led individual.
  • Candidates with no design experience or ability WILL NOT be considered.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience working with creative agencies, startups, or freelance clients.
  • Familiarity with brand storytelling, archetypes, or content pillars.
  • Copy-editing, community engagement strategies, or basic video editing skills.
  • Paid media knowledge.
  • Comfort using AI tools to brainstorm, write, or optimise content workflows.
