Job description

 

Eaton’s Filtration Division is currently seeking a North America Sales Manager to lead our North America Life Science Sales Team. This role reports directly to the Filtration Global Sales Director. This is a remote position (US-based) and requires candidate to travel approximately 50% of the time.

 

This role will specifically focus on and provide subject expertise to the area of beverage liquid filtration, and support our pharmaceutical, food and beverage customer base, primarily in the areas of wine, beer, and spirits.

 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $123,750 - $181,500 a year. This position is also eligible for our Sales Incentive Program (SIP).

What you’ll do:

The Filtration North America Sales Manager – Life Science will serve as a key member of the Filtration NAFTA management team and be responsible for the sales of Eaton Filtration Life Science products and applications in the US, Canada, and Mexico. This role will be expected to develop new direct and indirect business proactively and systematically as a contributor to sales while also developing and mentoring a team of Regional Sales Managers. Additionally, this role is to serve as the key focal point and expert for Life Science product applications in North America. This position reports directly to the Global Sales Director - Filtration Division.

 

In this role you will:

  • Lead consultancy and sale of Eaton’s Life Science filtration products, solutions, and services.
  • Manage the regional sales budget and strategy to reach revenue targets.
  • Manage the regional channels of distributors.
  • Manage direct relationship with important customers to generate new business opportunities behind the scenes.
  • Instruct, train, mentor, and manage a team of two (2) direct reports and three (3) indirect reports and other inside sales resources within the business.
  • Partner with operations colleagues on managing the SIOP process, cost out, and other initiatives for assigned product lines.
  • Identify business and market opportunities, define and implement new sales strategies, develop selling concepts and identify areas of improvement in products and processes, and assist in creating and implementing solutions.
  • Work with all sales personnel and outside contacts to satisfy clients and achieve company goals.
  • Consult and assist customers in product application of life science filter media.
  • Conduct product-related trainings for customers, partners, and employees.
  • Link acquired projects with appropriate internal and external responsible contacts.
  • Observe and investigate the market, keeping up to date on market trends and new products, and identifying and investigating growth opportunities for the company.
  • Report key metrics to the division including sales status, turnover, market situation, projects, and customer visits.
  • Represent Eaton Filtration in a positive and professional manner inside and outside of Eaton.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum five (5) years of work experience in industrial manufacturing, supply chain, OPEX, quality, commercial, or other business support functions
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience managing people
  • Technical knowledge of depth and sterilization filtration media in the making of pharmaceuticals, wine, beer or spirits
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship, now and in the future
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with no restrictions
  • Residence within the United States
  • Professional travel at 50% of the role

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, enology, viticulture, or chemical engineering
  • Master’s or MBA degree from an accredited university
  • Education or Certification(s) related to Enology, Brewing, Scotch/Bourbon/Whiskey, and/or Distilled Spirits
  • Ten (10) years' of work experience in industrial manufacturing, supply chain, OPEX, quality, commercial, or other business support functions
  • Understanding of product specifications and production processes
  • Project Management knowledge (ProLaunch or similar phase-gate project management system)

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive.  This position has a target total compensation range of $xxx-xxx.

Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
