Primary Function: Leadership role overseeing technical operations of consulting projects and acting as CLIA Lab Director for client laboratories.

The Role:

• Serve as CLIA Lab Director of Record for up to 5 client high complexity testing labs.

• Lead a team of PhDs in technical operations and consulting.

• Direct lab build-outs (test menu, equipment, SOPs, validation).

• Oversee method development, instrument validation, and stability testing.

• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, COLA, and other lab regulations.

• Advise client labs on operational and technical issues.

• Participate in broader consulting initiatives to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

You must meet CLIA high complexity testing Lab Director criteria under 42 C.F.R. § 493.1443, which includes:

• Doctorate (PhD) in a relevant science field (chemistry, biology, etc.).
• Board certification by one of the HHS-approved organizations such as:
  • ​​​​ABB, ABCC, ABFT, ABHI, ABMG, ABMLI, ABMM, NRCC, etc. 

• 5+ years within the anatomic and/or clinical laboratory science, best operational practices, instrumentation theory and operation.
• 1+ year of leadership/management experience.
• Must have experience with clinical laboratory regulatory requirements (ie. CLIA, State, CAP, COLA, Joint Commission, etc.)
• Experience method developing and/or validating instrumentation required for specialty.
• Previous experience writing SOPs for a variety of specialties and subspecialties in the clinical laboratory setting.

Salary and Benefits:

• Base salary: $135,000-145,000 annually + possible commission plan
