Job description

This is a remote position.

Shift Boolean is on the lookout for an experienced Native Android Developer to join our dynamic team. If you're passionate about building innovative mobile applications and have a knack for writing clean, efficient code, this role is for you! You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining native Android applications that provide exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop high-quality native Android applications using Java/Kotlin.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design new features.

Write well-documented, efficient, and testable code.

Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.

Identify and correct bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve application performance.

Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Work closely with UI/UX designers to ensure an attractive and user-friendly design.

Maintain code integrity and organization, following best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

3-5 years of experience in native Android development.

Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and dealing with different screen sizes.

Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.

Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.

Experience with Android architecture patterns (MVP, MVVM) and libraries (e.g., Retrofit, Dagger).

Proficiency with code versioning tools, such as Git.

Strong problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Excellent communication skills.
