Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking a Data Engineer to join our team at Fort Stewart, GA.

  • Must be a US Citizen 
  • Clearance required (Active or Interim)
  • Remote Permitted (on-site preferred)

The Data Engineer will support the Army’s Southeast Region Network Enterprise Center (RNEC) in developing and managing scalable data pipelines and advanced data integration capabilities. This role is critical to enabling real-time decision-making through the modernization of cloud and on-premises data architectures. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in ETL development, cloud-based data platforms, and cross-domain data ingestion in support of Army analytics operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines using tools such as Apache NiFi, Azure Data Factory, and AWS Glue.
  • Support transition and integration of data lakes/warehouses across Azure, AWS, and DoD cloud environments.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipeline performance across hybrid data platforms.
  • Collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to define data structures and ingestion strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD data governance, encryption, and RMF policies.
  • Provide documentation for data workflows, data models, and transformation logic.

Qualifications
  • US Citizen 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CISSP, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
  • Eight (8+) years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
  • Python, SQL, and data modeling experience. 
  • Proficient with  Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, S3, or BigQuery cloud data services.
  • Familiar with Airflow, Informatica, Git, Jenkins, and Spark tools.
  • Familiar with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle databases.
  • Experience with data lake and warehouse solutions.

Preferred:

  • Active DoD Security Clearance.
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related IT field.
  • AWS Certified Data Analytics.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
  • Familiarity with DoD environments and systems of record (e.g., GCSS-A, IPPS-A, Vantage).
  • DevOps knowledge and pipeline automation experience.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. 
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
