Summary


This role entails cultivating and expanding our northern Illinois, municipal and industrial account portfolio, with a focus on  sectors such as oil, water, power generation, and other key verticals across Northern Illinois.



Essential Functions

  

  • Develops and maintains relationships with municipal clients, including water treatment plants, transportation departments, public works, and other government facilities.
  • Identifies and targets key industrial accounts to support regional growth.
  • Increases sales revenue to meet assigned targets through prospecting, lead generation, and cold calling.
  • Provides technical and consultative support to municipal buyers and maintenance staff regarding motor repair and control systems.
  • Assists with bid preparation, contract negotiations, and RFP submissions.
  • Coordinates with internal departments to ensure timely delivery, installation, and servicing of products.
  • Participates in industry trade shows,      municipal conferences, and joins and attends water works association meetings.
  • Tracks market trends, regulatory changes, and municipal budgets to identify new opportunities.
  • Develops presentations and proposals customized for each municipality’s specific needs.
  • Troubleshot issues, responds to inquiries, and resolves customer complaints promptly.
  • Maintains accurate records of customer interactions, proposals, and service history within the CRM system.
  • Provides input on new product development based on municipal customer feedback.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Salary Description
$60 - $65 base plus commission
