Job Description

Our company is looking for a DevOps Engineer Agile to support our Lynx team. You will play a key role in ensuring the availability and proper operation of the application. At our Digital Hub for Credit & Collection, we aim to manage as much of the system and software lifecycle directly within our teams as possible. Therefore, our Application Managers (Agile) / DevOps Engineers work directly within their respective teams - here, Team Lynx.

The application is our responsibility - The IT system MPS serves as the payment platform for processing transactions with payment methods such as PayPal, credit cards, ApplePay, GooglePay, and more. Hostet on a private Cloud “Panamax” with future Georedundancy (two locations Hannover and Göppingen).


WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Collaborative and close partnership with the entire team and other organizational units
  • Incorporating operational partner requirements into the backlog process
  • Maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of the application
  • Configuration and release management (applications and interfaces)
  • Planning installation and release dates (including versions and scope of changes)
  • Receiving software from sprints and deploying it into test environments using existing pipelines
  • Supporting deployment processes of our operational partners/platforms (DT Technik)
  • Supporting and implementing monitoring and alerting rules using tools: Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, Uptrends
  • Assisting the team with application issues/log analysis (technical and 3rd Level Support)
  • Interface to PSA processes, particularly the creation of SDSKs
    • Maintenance of Cape, Darwin, PSA Portal
  • Actively proposing suggestions for the further development and optimization of applications
  • Creating specifications for system changes (System Design Specifications or User Stories)
  • Providing project support as needed during the integration phase and E2E tests

Qualifications

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:

  • Pipeline Reverse Engineering: Ability to analyze and understand existing pipeline architectures and workflows to enhance or recreate them.
  • Containerization Expertise:
    • Proficiency in Docker for creating, deploying, and managing containers.
    • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized applications.
    • Experience with Helm for managing Kubernetes applications.
  • Experience with GitLab: Familiarity with GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipeline management.
  • utilizing tools such as Kibana, Grafana, and Prometheus for monitoring, logging, and visualizing Kubernetes environments.
  • DevOps Mindset:

Salary

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 1 650 € /brutto.
