Job Title: Senior QA Automation Test Engineer

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Test Engineer with 5-7 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and automation, with expertise in the Playwright framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright framework.

  • Collaborate with the development and product teams to understand application requirements and user stories.

  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.

  • Analyze test results, detect issues, and provide thorough reports to stakeholders.

  • Continuously enhance and optimize existing automation frameworks and processes.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in test automation.

  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on automation best practices.

  • Participate in code reviews and ensure high standards of code quality.

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5-7 years of experience in software testing and automation.

  • Strong proficiency in the Playwright framework.

  • Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.).

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).

  • Knowledge of API testing and tools (e.g., Postman).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
