Job description

Delphic is seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer to join one of our client's remote team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development and possess a strong skill set in various technologies including Rails Framework, AWS, Cucumber, MySQL, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Design and implement efficient and reusable code.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the Ruby on Rails ecosystem.
- Document code, processes, and solutions for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Ruby on Rails Developer.
- Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails framework and its associated technologies.
- Experience working with AWS services and deploying applications on AWS.
- Proficient in working with relational databases such as MySQL.
- Solid knowledge of front-end technologies including jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools like Cucumber.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.

Good to Have:
- Experience with Python scripting and AWS Lambdas.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases.
