WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Compliance Manager I- Marketing supports the bank by overseeing and implementing the Bank’s marketing compliance program and for managing the Marketing Compliance team. They will serve as the subject matter expert in marketing regulatory compliance and are responsible for addressing any marketing regulatory compliance items during the implementation of new products, services, or Partners.

HOW YOU'LL DO IT

  • Oversee the Bank’s marketing compliance program, including but not limited, review and monitoring of marketing materials, social media platforms, promotions/campaigns, websites and support staff in all daily program operations to ensure completion according to Bank and Partner SLAs. 
  • Serve as the marketing regulatory compliance subject matter expert (SME) and resource providing regulatory guidance to business units, Partners, internal team members, and management including guidance in the design, development and/or enhancement of processes and controls to manage compliance risks. 
  • Responsible for the management and supervision of department staff including providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching to further develop their skills and expertise. 
  • Responsible to maintain updates to compliance marketing program policies, procedures, and develop/update training materials to ensure staff have necessary tools and regulatory knowledge to perform job functions. 
  • Responsible for resolving complex marketing compliance issues and escalated inquiries from staff, Bank and Partners. 
  • Responsible for performing CCBX Partner due diligence reviews and risk assessments for new Partners. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, team members, CCBX Relationship/Implementation Managers, CCBX Partners and Bank business line management. 
  • Participate in audits and exams as required. 
  • Responsible for performing quality control reviews of marketing materials to ensure regulatory compliance. 
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of the rules and regulations, including but not limited to, the Regulation E, Truth in Savings Act, Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP/UDAP), Truth in Lending, and Equal Credit Opportunity Act. 
  • Participate in or lead internal and CCBX Partner meetings. 
  • Review identified marketing compliance risks, communicate with appropriate stakeholders, monitor issues, and help resolve any concerns or compliance deficiencies. 
  • Draft practical guidelines for Bank and Partners to ensure compliance with regulatory and Bank requirements. 
  • Train to assist and support Document Review as needed. 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING  

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret governmental laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance. 
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Bank and/or FinTech advertising rules with a strong technical background. 
  • Advanced proficiency of regulatory advertising rules; Reg DD, Reg Z and UDAP/UDAAP. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team environment. 
  • Ability to resolve complex issues and make general decisions for daily processing. 
  • Strong investigative, problem-solving and critical thinking skills and ability to provide workable recommendations and solutions. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills. 
  • Ability to manage own workload as well as team activities, manage multiple tasks/projects and deliver against time pressured deadlines. 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy a must. 
  • Cooperative and professional attitude. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, affected departments and our FinTech Partners. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance for a Bank or FinTech company required. 
  • Prior management and leadership experience required. 
  • CRCM certification or completion of specialized training in compliance (e.g., ABA Graduate School of Compliance Risk Management) a plus. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products to include Outlook, Excel, Word.
