Company Description

KPMG Australia is part of a global network providing extensive services across a wide range of industries and sectors. Our people collaborate, share their expertise and create innovation as we partner with clients to solve complex challenges, empower change, drive disruption and growth. We look for talented people with the potential to make an extraordinary difference for our clients, our firm and our communities.

Job Description

KPMG's Connected Technology Group (CTG) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Change Manager to lead and manage a diverse portfolio of internal, technology-driven change initiatives. This pivotal role is integral to the successful implementation and adoption of new technologies and tools that enhance our workplace experience, productivity, and overall client delivery. Additionally, you will lead change programs relating to security updates and technology upgrades, workplace enhancements, and operating model changes specific to CTG. As a Change Manager, your expertise will ensure these transitions are seamless, well-communicated, and effectively embraced by all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Change Management

  • Develop comprehensive change programs that encompass a wide range of technology-driven initiatives, including productivity tool implementations, security updates, device rollouts, software management, workplace improvements, and the introduction of innovative AI technologies, including agentic AI.
  • Localise global change programs supporting the introduction of new platforms and technologies for the Australian firm.
  • Implement change management strategies to support the evolution of the CTG operating model.
  • Liaise with CTG’s leadership team to ensure alignment with the overarching strategic objectives of CTG and KPMG.
  • Coordinate closely with domain leads, program teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to tailor and execute these change programs effectively.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of change programs, from initial assessment and planning through to execution and post-implementation evaluation.
  • Create nuanced messaging that considers the specific impacts on various parts of the business.
  • Understand audience impact and broader implications of changes.
  • Ensure change communications are clear, effective, and address the specific needs and concerns of different business units.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and resistance related to the change initiatives and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Adoption and Learning Strategies

  • Work closely with CTG domain leads and product owners on adoption strategies, ensuring that new technology solutions are effectively integrated into existing workflows, providing guidance on best practises, and developing tailored adoption plans that address the specific needs and challenges of different teams.
  • Create and deliver learning strategies and training programs to support technology adoption.

Tracking and Reporting:

  • Monitor progress and report on change initiative outcomes, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to stakeholders on the status of change programs.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Support the design, development, delivery, and management of change communications with the support of CTG’s Strategic Communications team and KPMG’s Internal Communications team.
  • Work collaboratively with the CTG domain leads and leadership team to identify needs and prioritise projects.
  • Support product owners across the KPMG business with their change management needs on CTG-led initiatives.
  • Liaise with business units across the firm to identify effective channels and forums for disseminating messages, ensuring they reach the intended audiences and achieve maximum engagement and understanding.

How Are You Extraordinary?

  • Proven experience as a Change Manager or in a similar role within a technology-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering change for large-scale technology rollouts.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of technology, including customer delivery, IT delivery, and security delivery.
  • Experience with organisational change initiatives affecting multiple teams.
  • A leader who seeks to understand the profound impact AI has on the workforce, guiding our people through this rapidly evolving landscape and ensuring they are equipped to thrive in a future driven by technological advancements.
  • Strong grasp of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and align them towards a common vision or goal.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey messages to a diverse range of audiences.
