Hands on working experience in BIW parts design in Automotive products (truck or passenger vehicles).
To execute projects with required quality and delivery schedules
To coordinate with customer for input collection and query clarifications for effective execution and completion of projects
To work with cross-functional teams for design reviews & effective project execution
To make sure the quality of the deliverables before final submission to customer
Skills:
3-5 years of experience in Design & Development of BIW (Body-in-White) components.
Must have 3+ years of experience in UG NX with surface modelling, drawing and assembly.
Able to create conceptual class "A" surface from point clouds, surfaces, master sections.
Design parametric components and systems wrt manufacturability, tooling feasibility and assembly
Using CAD design & develop BIW panels for the automotive industry which meet legal, customer, and internal requirements
Understands and applies welding technologies, stamping die principles and limitations, casting and machining principles
Participate in design review, review drawings, analyse tooling, and recommend improvements leading to increased productivity, quality, etc.
Practices proper modelling techniques which allow part/assembly to be easily modified
Awareness of Structural test requirement, CAE, etc.
Highly preferred Tool or mould Design Knowledge and/or experience.
Capable of offering various concept designs and solutions to the design problems by considering DFM/DFA principles.
Responsible for end-to-end development of products with complete product ownership
Performs design, testing/validation and/or development projects within area of BIW parts to fulfil the project Product Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature targets report the same in project forums.
Capable to run thorough investigations to identify root cause analysis for failures and deliver a robust solution as a countermeasure to address customer issues
Multi-tasking capabilities are essential to manage priorities.
Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and consistent ability to achieve deadlines under pressure.
Effective communication skills and preferred to have Japanese speaking or basic understanding.
