Job Description

Diagnose and resolve complex Layer 2/Layer 3 network issues across Enterprise Environments.

Design, configure, and deploy scalable and secure network infrastructure solutions.

Provide Tier 3 escalation support for incidents unresolved by Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams.

Administer and troubleshoot enterprise-grade routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, and load balancing technologies.
 

Qualifications

Must have Skills: Network (Strong), Troubleshooting (Strong), Analytical Thinking, TCP/IP, Cisco wired and wireless networks.

  • 8+ years as a network engineer overall.
  • Enterprise company experience.
  • 5+ years network engineering in medium to large enterprise Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar enterprise-grade equipment Network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, Netflow, Prime, Catalyst Center, vManage [Cisco Viptela SDWAN]) Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Nice-to-Have:

Network automation (Python, Ansible) Solarwinds Netflow Fortigate/FortiManager/FortiAuthenticator/FortiAnalyzer MPLS/VPLS Cellular Gateways/Technology (OpenGear/Cradlepoint)

Key Protocols and Technologies Routing Protocols:

  • OSPF, BGP, EIGRP (especially for hybrid environments)
  • Switching Technologies: VTP, RSTP/MSTP, Private VLANs.
  • Port Security Wireless Protocols: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, WPA2/WPA3, RADIUS/802.1X
  • SD-WAN Protocols: OMP (Overlay Management Protocol), IPSec, DTLS, BFD Network Services: DHCP Snooping, ARP Inspection, NetFlow, SPAN/RSPAN
  • Security: ACLs, Zone-Based Firewall, AAA, ISE integration
  • Monitoring & Management: SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow, Cisco Prime, DNA Center Certifications
