Senior Software Engineer (Delphi)

 As a Senior Software Engineer, your focus will be on developing and supporting RSI’s TaxMaster product. Applicants for this role must be able to work independently, have experience designing new software features, and have experience working on desktop applications. This role requires an engineer who is a hands-on learner and is able to quickly understand new concepts and programming languages.

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Working with RSI’s consultant team to understand requirements and user stories for new features.
• Quickly debugging defects and delivering fixes.
• With minimal oversight, designing and implementing new product features or upgrades to existing components.
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages and SQL.
• Applying knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years relevant software development experience including desktop (thick client) applications
• Knowledge of Relational Databases, Object Oriented Design, and Data Structures
• Familiarity with one or more programming languages
• Work experience with standard development techniques (Agile SDLC, OOD)
• Experience in SQL
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Outgoing and enthusiastic personality
• Professional business demeanor
• Previous team-oriented development experience

DESIRED / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated proficiency in Delphi
• Knowledge of SQL Server, Access, and
• Basic understanding of SOAP services
• Familiarity with Object Pascal programming languages
• Previous work with financial software

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

RSI determines pay range based upon numerous compensation factors, including experience, skill set, and geographic location. A current and reasonable estimated range for this position is $90,000 - $125,000. However, it’s possible for an individual to be hired at a salary outside of this range.
