Job Description

Balsam International is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the development of customer-centric features, internal process improvements, and long-term strategic initiatives using Agile methodologies. This high-impact role drives measurable outcomes by prioritizing work for the digital experience pod and collaborating with cross-functional partners. It reports directly to the SVP of Program and Product Management and offers strong visibility across the organization.

What you’ll be doing:

Product Ownership

  • Identifies features and functionalities that will drive significant, measurable impact for Balsam Brands. Including, but not limited to:
    • Using data to identify opportunities in our shopping experience
    • Gathering input and ideas from stakeholders
    • Leveraging user-research to identify new ways to improve the customer experience
    • Following industry trends and new technologies to identify additional opportunities
    • Expanding on opportunities to use our existing tools and third-party partnerships in new ways to drive growth
  • Creates the roadmap for the pod and prioritizes work within the pod, balancing the expected outcomes with the level of effort and complexity
    • Socializes roadmap for input and ideas
    • Ensures that technical scalability and stability is included in the roadmap
    • Communicates clearly (written and verbal) so that all stakeholders and pod members understand the rationalization for prioritization
  • Defines story maps, author user stories, tasks, and bugs with a customer-centric eye.
  • Functions as product owner, maintaining well‐groomed backlogs and artifacts; actively manage expectations by communicating statuses and timelines.
  • Leads and/or participates in Agile ceremonies, and daily Scrums, facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint review discussions, and sprint demos.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Appropriately solicits input and insight from stakeholders to make well-informed prioritization and roadmap decisions
  • Understands the needs of stakeholders, including their related business processes and seasonal timelines
  • Works closely with the scrum master and other pod leaders to ensure that quarterly planning is optimized and is an effective use of all attendees’ time
  • When applicable, ensures that change management and training take place for new features and functionality. This may mean executing training and change management oneself or it may mean finding others with appropriate expertise
  • Anticipates the impact of functionality changes on business users and plans accordingly

Data Analysis & Tool Expertise

  • Understands user behavior and identify opportunities with data analysis using GA, Power BI, and any other relevant tool available
  • Performs competitive analysis and market research to inform features that support future growth.
  • Supports existing third-party tools and select and onboard new tools to drive business. Evaluate providers against requirements, select the best solution, and manage ongoing vendor relationships.

Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

What we’re looking for:

  • 10+ years professional experience which includes 8+ years of experience in Product Management for a B2C eCommerce site
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering/computer science a plus; Graduate degree or MBA a plus
  • Proven history of helping build and evolve teams and processes.
  • Ability to coach team members and cross functional business partners in best practices of product management and agile processes.
  • Experience writing user stories in support of the Agile development process and prioritizing backlogs and working with cross-functional partners to understand trade-offs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while supporting several parallel projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytic skills

Nice to have:

  • Professional Product Management certifications are a plus (i.e. CSM, Agile, PDP, etc)
  • Experience with SAP Commerce or IBM Sterling a plus

Location: The Senior Product Manager position is a remote working position for Balsam International Unlimited Company - Philippine ROHQ in Manila. Team members in the Philippines are located within Metro Manila, Bataan, Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, Rizal, and Tarlac areas only.

Our must-haves:

  • Must attend occasional in-person meetings.
  • Must have a fast, reliable DSL, Fiber, or Broadband connection (not mobile or broadband stick) as the primary internet connection with a minimum actual speed of 50MBPS.

Status: This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.

Hardware Provision: Company-issued Laptop will be provided on your first day.
