About the Role

CIVIL ENGINEERS (Ireland)

To support our plans for growth growth phase and recent project wins Egis is looking to recruit a number of Civil Engineers with design and project engineering experience at the following levels:

Junior Level:                  2 to 4 Years Experience

Intermediate Level:        4 to 6 Years Experience

Senior Level:                  6+ Years Experience

Suitable applicants must have as a minimum: A Third Level degree in Civil Engineering, in addition to the relevant number of years’ experience listed above for Junior, Intermediate and Senior levels. You should also have experience working in a busy consulting engineering firm, working on or specialising in transportation, road, bridge, tunnel, drainage, active travel or water/wastewater projects.

We are looking for ambitious forward-thinking individuals interested in propelling their career forward with Egis. The successful candidate will experience working with our teams in design and project management, from concept design to project handover, on major and award-winning civil infrastructure projects. You’ll have the chance to join a global organisation, with 19,500 colleagues working across 100 countries. As part of our team you’ll play a crucial role in designing, planning, and overseeing various infrastructure projects throughout Ireland, with the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage civil engineering projects from conception to completion
  • Prepare detailed designs, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Conduct site investigations and surveys to assess project feasibility
  • Perform complex calculations and analysis to ensure structural integrity and safety
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and local authorities
  • Ensure compliance with Irish building codes, regulations, and environmental standards
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently
  • Prepare and present technical reports and proposals to clients and stakeholders
  • Supervise construction activities and conduct quality control inspections
  • Identify and resolve engineering problems that arise during project execution

Qualifications

Your qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university

Minimum of 2+ Years Experience: [Junior 2 to 4 years. Intermediate 4 to 6 years and  Senior Level 6+ years.]

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant structural analysis software

Strong knowledge of Irish building codes and regulations

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
