South College School of Nursing is seeking experienced nursing professionals to serve as Nursing Exam Item-Writers for a 10-week, contract-based assignment. This role offers a remote opportunity to contribute to high-quality nursing education assessments across the LPN, ASN, and BSN programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with course leads to develop NCLEX-style exam questions.

· Follow South College’s item-writing guidelines and examination blueprints.

· Authentically author original items without use of copyrighted or AI-only content.

· Provide rationales and citations for all response options.

· Classify items according to Bloom’s Taxonomy and the NCLEX Test Plan.

· Submit assigned questions weekly, based on subject area.


Requirements:

· Master’s degree or higher in nursing.

· Active, unencumbered RN license (compact license preferred).

· Minimum 3 years of full-time RN clinical experience.

· Post-secondary nursing education and NCLEX item-writing experience required.

Compensation: Pay is based on the number of completed items and is distributed in contract-based installments.
