Pre-Litigation Case Manager

Location Requirement: Applicants must reside in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, or Virginia.

As a Paralegal (Case Manager) at The Jeffcoat Firm, you will manage personal injury cases from start to finish, guiding clients through the civil claims process, from medical treatment to settlement. You will serve as the primary point of contact, advocating for clients and negotiating with insurance companies on their behalf. This role is highly collaborative, working closely with attorneys, record coordinators, and legal assistants to ensure seamless case management.

Responsibilities:

• Independently manage personal injury cases, ensuring timely movement through pre-litigation.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all case-related actions and communications.
• Provide regular case updates to clients, assist with medical treatment coordination, and educate them about the personal injury claims process.
• Develop strong client relationships by going the extra mile to provide support.
• Gather, review, and organize legal documents and evidence for attorney evaluation and case preparation.
• Analyze and summarize medical records and billing statements.
• Draft settlement demands with supporting evidence.
• Negotiate and reduce medical liens.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely case resolution.
• Participate in daily and monthly meetings.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of experience managing personal injury tort cases required.
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Prior experience in litigation or pre-litigation at a law firm is highly desired.
• Familiarity with auto and health insurance subrogation is a plus.
• Strong understanding of auto accident claims, personal injury case management, and settlement negotiations.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
• Ability to multitask and work both independently and as part of a team.
